Choosing your perfect phone case will depend on:

  1. The type of case you prefer
  2. How much protection you need
  3. The level of customisation you want

The type, level of protection and customisation varies across our cases, which can make the decision of choosing which case to buy a little tricky.

Case Type:

We have Soft, Hard & Tough cases, read below for a detailed summary of each case type.

Protection:

Each case type provides a different level of protection. Hard cases are more likely to crack if dropped from a height, whereas soft cases, wallet cases and tough cases can absorb impacts more easily.

Customisation (Printing Style):

Fully printed means that the entire outer surface of the case is covered by your chosen design compared to back-printed (Soft, Hard cases) or front-printed Wallet cases.

Base Colour:

Refers to the colour of the case before the design is applied. Transparent cases are ideal for people that want their design to blend with the colour of their device.

Printing Method:

UV printing provides the highest image quality and resolution, as the design is printed directly onto the case. With sublimation printing, the design is printed on to a special film first and then transferred to the phone case.

Read on to learn more about each case type, the key differences, pros and cons below:

 SOFT CASES

+ High level of phone protection

+ Largest range of phone models supported

- Less protective than a wallet case

Phone models supported: over 200 different phone models

Printing formats supported: back printed

Printing methods: UV

Material: soft cases are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). TPU is a mix between plastic and silicone. It is flexible and cannot break.

We offer a transparent soft case for almost every phone model and for the more popular models, we also have black

Soft cases are back-printed, using UV printing technology, which provides the highest resolution and print quality. We print directly onto the phone case, up to the edge but the sides are not printed.

Back printing on transparent cases looks especially stylish as the design and back of the phone blend seamlessly

HARD CASES

+ More luxurious looking / slimmer profile than soft cases

- Less protection than other types of cases

Phone models supported: multiple popular brands and phone models

Printing formats supported: back-printed and fully-printed (snap cases)

Printing methods: UV (back printed) and Sublimation (fully printed)

Material: hard cases are made of polycarbonate (PC) and the base colour is white.

Fully-Printed (Snap) Hard Cases

Fully-printed (also known as snap) cases are printed using the sublimation technique. The design is printed on a special film first, using sublimation inks. After this, the print is sublimated from the film to the case using a press which applies heat and pressure. We then use a special sublimation vacuum to ensure the design completely covers the phone case, including the sides.

TOUGH CASES

+ Highest protection of all case types

+ Fully printed including edges and sides of the case

- Thicker than a soft or hard case

Phone models supported: specific iPhone-models and Samsung S-series

Printing formats supported: fully-printed

Printing methods: Sublimation

Material: tough cases are made from two parts: rubber on the inside and a hard black case on the outside. The combination of the two materials absorbs shocks.

Tough cases are printed using the sublimation technique. The design is printed on a special film first, using sublimation inks. After this, the print is sublimated from the film to the product using a press which applies heat and pressure. We then use a vacuum to ensure the design covers the entire surface area of the case, all around the edges too.
